Head coach of Bechem United, Alberto Vincenzo has heaped praises on his players.
Bechem United maintained their third place on the table and also closed in on Asante Kotoko with an emphatic 4:2 drubbing of Ashantigold in Obuasi on Sunday in the match day six fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
Alfred Nelson and Akoto Danso gave the visitors a 2:0 lead but Ashgold hit back through Joshua Tijani and Kofi Owusu to make it 2:2.
Bechem were however not done, Ahmed Toure scored a brace to restore their two-goal lead to hand Bechem United a remarkable away lead.
The defeat marked a second successive heavy defeat for Ashantigold, following their 5:1 defeat to Berekum Chelsea last week.
“I like the way my players started the match.” He told Asempa FM. “I liked their concentration level each second and this what I want.
“I always ask my players to give me hundred percent performance in every match but coming here to win against such a big team, it was not easy for us but I must say my players were in great sharp today and I like that.” He added.
Meanwhile, Ahmed Toure who had a brace for his team also disclosed that he wants to keep on scoring and the young players to also develop.
“It is not easy to score twice against Ashgold. I’m not targeting the top scorer of the league after this performance.
“I want to help the young players in the squad to also learn something from my experience and the club achieving success.” He said.
Bechem United are currently with 13 points and will now play Elmina Sharks on Wednesday in the match day seven fixture in Bechem.
