Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ashanti Gold football club, Cudjoe Fianoo, has admitted the 2015/16 league season has been difficult for the Obuasi-based club, but has expressed optimism of an improved Ashanti Gold team next season.
“It is a difficult season, but we know why we are at the position we occupy currently, but we would get out of that position and everyone will see a different Ashgold come next season.” Fianoo told Accra based Class FM.
The miners have been very disappointing this season after winning the title last season.
They currently are at the 11th position on the league table with 26 points. The club are also the only team to have played as many as 14 draws with only four wins in the 22 matches played so far in the Ghana Premier League.
