Chief Executive Officer of Becehm United, Nana Kwesi Darling has debunked the selling of their striker Abednego Tetteh to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The Porcupine Warriors are looking forward to strengthen their team after the shambolic and abysmal performance in the 2015/16 season finishing 5th with 46 points.
Reports in the local indicate that the MTN FA Cup winners are ready to release the striker to the Kumasi based club after the signing of Ahmed Toure but Nana Kwesi Darling says they will not release the player to any local club.
Speaking to Asempa Sports, Nana Kwesi said, “I don’t know where that reports are coming from because we have not had any discussion with the officials of Kotoko and the there is no way we are selling the player.
“We want him to move to Turkey rather because the money they will offer us is better than what the local clubs will give us.”
After receiving a whooping amount of GHC50.000.00 from his Excellency John Dramani Mahama to begin the construction of the stadium as part of next year’s CAF Confederations Cup preparations, Nana Kwesi expressed their gratefulness to the president.
He said, “On Thursday the president sent the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah to present the money to start the construction of the stands but the GHC50.000.00 is not for the astro turf but the stands only.
“The chief of staff made us understand that the president saw the pitch and decided to help us but he will send some contractors to come and start the construction of the pitch and other necessary things and we are hopeful for that.”
