General Secretary of Ashanti Youth Association, Berimah Tweneboah has slammed Opoku Nti for using propaganda to run Kotoko and has called on him to resign because he has totally as the Chief Executive Officer of the club.

Kotoko was stunned by Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in the week 20 tricky encounter. Prosper Nartey’s boys defeated that Warriors by 4:1. This defeat has added more pressure on the coach and the management of the club after drawing with Bechem United at the Kumasi Sports Stadium in the week 18 fixtures of the GPL.

“I always say that you can’t use propaganda in football but it is accepted in politics because the problems within the club is the fault of the management because they have shown that they can’t manage the club.”  He told Asempa Sports in an interview.

“In the past, this current management and board members are the luckiest in the history if the club. When they told Coach Duncan to step aside, we issued a statement saying that, the problems within the club is not about coach but it is about the management. When Kotoko is playing, you can’t figure out any special player that will come out and do some magic for the club and so you can’t use propaganda to run Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

He continued, “There is no doubt that Opoku Nti loves the club but he can’t run Kotoko the way people are expecting it and if you compare Kotoko to other clubs, you can see that Kotoko has totally failed. We issued a statement and said that we want Kotoko be run in a business manner but that is not happening and as we speak there is no developmental plan and structures for the team. It is not that we don’t like Opoku Nti but he can’t manage Kotoko.

“This management and board have been so lucky but they have disappointed Otumfuo and the supporters and so they should apologize that we can’t do the work but the surprising thing is that, you will get people who will support them and say that they can do the job meanwhile they can’t do it.

“I will encourage the supporters to stay calm and they should that they are in support of whatever decision the team owner decides because individuals will come and go but the supporters of the club will always be there forever.” He added.
