The Black Stars have secured their first three points against the Cranes of Uganda in the Africa Cup of Nations opener in Port Gentil.
Deputy captain of the team Andre Dede Ayew scored from a penalty on the 31st after Asamoah Gyan was brought down in the penalty box of the Cranes.
The match got very intensed in the second half but the Black Stars were able to hold on the pressure. The Cranes came close of scoring but the Razak Brimah kept his composure at the end of the full time.
Baba Rahman was however was stretched off the pitch during the game and coach Avram Grant will be hoping that his injury may not be a serious one.
Ghana will now play Mali on Saturday January 21st.
