Public Relations Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has disclosed that former Aduana Stars head coach Cioaba Aristica is not part of the coaches applying the coaching job at the club.
The Phobians have been without a substantive coach after the exit of Yaw Preko at the end of the 2015/16 season.
Hearts of Oak played the GHALCA G6 tournament under auspices of Henry Wellington but unfortunately lost the trophy to Aduana Stars on penalties but according to local media reports, the Romanian coach who led Aduana Stars to the second place last season have been strongly linked to the Hearts of Oak coaching job.
But the according Opare Addo who is the mouthpiece of the club, the club is not considering bringing in the former Aduana Stars coach for the 2016/17 season
“We will resume training this week and we will play one competitive friendly match before the end of the week.” He told Asempa FM.
“The management of the club are also working behind closed doors to appoint a substantive coach by the end of the week but I must say that Cioaba Aristica is not part of our plans.
“The list that we have now, there is no local coach on the list but Cioaba Aristica is not part of the race. They are all foreign coaches but what the media is reporting is absolutely not true.”
