Public Relations Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, has disclosed that local coaches are not courageous enough to take up the vacant Hearts of Oak job.
Accra Hearts of Oak has been without a substantive head coach after the axing of Sergio Traugil before three matches to the end of the season and are yet to appoint a head coach in the upcoming season.
With some few weeks to the start of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League, the Phobians are yet to appoint a head coach but Opare Addo says local coaches are not courageous enough to take up the mantle as the head of the Accra based club.
“There are a lot of Coaches in the country but their challenge is to take bigger clubs like Hearts of Oak and Kotoko.
“Most of them dont have the courage to back them in their careers with Big clubs.
“We therefore need to take our time and make sure we appoint a coach who is ready to take up the challenge”. He said.
Coach Henry Wellington has been steering the affairs of the first team as the Assistant coach.
