Accra Hearts of Oak striker, Cosmos Dauda has described their results against WAFA as huge embarrassment.
The Accra based club suffered an embarrassing defeat in the match day 23 against WAFA at the Sogakope Sports Stadium on Saturday.
Komla Agbegniadan hit a brace to become the star of the show, starting with a 3rd minute opener.
Charles Boateng doubled WAFA’s lead four minutes later.
Agbegniadan put the match beyond the reach of the Phobians as in the 25th minute with the 3rd goal for WAFA.
The former Tudu Mighty Jet striker and his teammates were very optimistic going into the match against WAFA but their away records runs was brought to an end by the Academy Boys.
Speaking to Asempa Sports, Comos said “It is a disappointing results and it very embarrassing as well but what we can do is to take advantage of our next home game and make sure that we claim back our position.
“I don’t see this defeat affecting our chances of winning the league. I expect everybody to believe that. I know that it is just match and I know that the fans are really disappointed but the message I have for them is that the league is still ongoing and we have a huge chance of winning the league.
“The league is open to everybody but I will apologize we couldn’t continue our winning run but I believe that we are still on course and I believe that things are going to turn around”. Cosmos added.
Hearts of Oak after suffering that huge defeat, find themselves at the second position with 39 points and now welcome Techiman City in their match day 24 fixtures that will be staged at the Accra Sports Stadium.
