Expect more Injunctions on the League – Babia Alhassan

An Interlocutory Injunction have been granted by a Tema High Court to halt the commencement of the league by a supporter  of Real Athletico, Babia Alhassan on Thursday, February 18 2016.

In an Interview on Asempa Fm’s sports nite, the plaintiff claimed he (Babia Alhassan) is not satisfied with how the various Legal bodies in the FA have treated pending legal cases and especially with the ones involving Tema clubs. ” I am from Tema and i am very concerned about how Tema clubs are treated” he said.

The plaintiff also confirmed that the writ served by the bailiff was given to the receptionist at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) secretariat called Lillian and the Acting General Secretary Mr. Isaac Addo and for that matter it will be a Contempt of Court if the clubs and whoever participate in a league match will be held liable.

He further stated that the GFA should expect about four other injunctions from unknown persons to bring the commencement of the 2015/2016 league season to a halt. “The hierarchy at the GFA are aware of the injunctions that is why officers of the FA do not stay at the Secretariat and you should expect more injunctions by the close of tomorrow”.

Meanwhile, the GFA have released the list of Officiating officials for match day one of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday, 20th February and Sunday 21st February 2016.EXCLUSIVE: STANDING AND ADHOC COMMITTEES OF GFA 2015-2017 REVEALED
