Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie has described Kwadwo Asamoah’s injury as unfortunate.
The skillful was on the verge of returning to the National team before picking up his latest injury over the weekend.
The 26-year-old picked up his 8th injury in three years after limping off on the 89th minute in Juventus 1-0 victory over Palermo in the Italian Serie A.
Speaking to Accra based Citi FM, George said, “Kwadwo’s injury was unfortunate because it happened at a time he had agreed to play for the National team again.
“He is a player I know very well and this will be a big blow to everybody who is associated with him.”
“We are with him in prayers and I don’t know how long he will be out but one thing is certain and that is we are with him in prayers.”
“We hope that he is able to recover in time to join his colleagues once again.”
