Head coach of Liberty Professionals, George Lamptey has slammed Referee Latif Adaari for giving the home team more advantage play in the league fixtures that was staged at the Berekum Golden City Park.
Berekum Chelsea and Liberty Professionals shared the points in Berekum with a 1:1 draw. Daniel Kodie scored for Liberty whiles Seth Appiah was on target for the home side.
The performance of Liberty Professionals in the second seem to be very rough because the team is failing to replicate the performance they exhibited in the first round of the league.
The draw against the Berekum based club has leaves Liberty Professionals on the 8th position with 30 points and now play Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Dansoman Sports Stadium.
Speaking to Asempa Sports after the match, George said, “This is one of the toughest matches we have played. Chelsea played very well and they really wanted to win the three points.
“The first half was bad for the referee because he couldn’t stand on his feet to officiate the match and the same thing happened in the second half. Seriously, I wasn’t happy because he was giving so many advantages to the home team and it wasn’t good for us and you saw me shouting because it wasn’t fair.
“My team is always good and the Chelsea team is also good but I will say they [Berekum Chelsea] are relying Saddick Adams too much. They are relying on him as if he shoot one ball it will be in the net but he couldn’t play against our team but I will say there is no doubt that he is a good player.” George added.
