Former Black Stars defender, Samuel Osei Kuffour is of the view the team did not play well but securing the tree points was the most important thing.
The Black Stars beat Uganda by a lone goal to nothing in Port Gentil. Deputy captain of the team, Andre Ayew scored from a penalty kick on the 31st minutes after skipper of the side Asamoah Gyan was brought down in the eighteen yard box of the Cranes.
After failing to beat the Cranes in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the Black Stars were optimistic beating Uganda but the Super Sports pundit believes despite the criticisms what matters most is securing the three points.
“Whatever the coach said makes sense to me.” He said. “The three points is more important even though we didn’t play very well but he said the most important thing that we defended and defended as a team.
“We must give credit to the Uganda team because they have proved a point and one thing their coach said that made me happy was that he refused to point fingers because as a team, you play as a team, we as a team and we lose as a team.” He added.
