Former Hearts of Oak-Asante Kotoko talisman; Charles Asampong Taylor has stated that, there is a big problem in Ghana Football both playing body and administration wise and that is why our players are not able to travel beyond Africa.
On Peace FM, the former Black Stars player said, football administrators in Ghana lack the technical know-how when it comes to monitoring and detecting good players. “When I see those so-called good players on TV, it beats my imagination as to the criteria used in assessing them. A good player is the one who can surge forward and move backwards at the same time.” He said.
According to Taylor, Ghana football is not in the right shape because of poor managerial skills and selection of worthless players who do not merit call-ups. “even some third division players are better than some players in our premier league. It is opportunity that some of them [second and third division players] have not gotten but it does not mean they cannot fit into the Black Stars.” He added.
