Ghana however came close in scoring after creating some decent opportunities in both halves.

Christian Atsu could have snatched the equalizer for the Black Stars in the 39th minute after hitting the post with his effort from the edge of the penalty box.
Defender John Boye came to the rescue of Ghana with an acrobatic clearance on the line after goalkeeper Adam Kwarsey failed to take a one-time catch.
The Black Stars could not find the back of the net despite the numerous chances they came their way in their way in the second half.
