Ghana through to 2017 Africa Youth Championship after drawing with Cote d’Ivoire

Ghana Black Starlets have qualified for the 2017 Africa Championship in Madagascar after the goaless draw with the Young Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire on Saturday.

The Black Starlets secured all three points in the first league beating the Ivoirians by 3:1 at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana.

The draw with the Young Elephants in Yamoussoukro has help Ghana to qualify for the 2017 AFCON with a 3:1 aggregate score line.

Ghana failed to qualify for the competition in 2015 after Ghana was disqualified for using an over aged player.

Coach of the side, Paa Kwesi Fabin and the team started their campaign after a 5-4 aggregate score line over the Young Stallions of Burkina Faso following their 5-1 first leg win in Ghana.
