Acting Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei has won the parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NPP at the La Dade Kotopong constituency.
The football administrator defeated incumbent Nii Amasa Namoale who has served on the seat for the past eight years.
Sowah Odotei will thus represent the voices of his new constituency in parliament in the next four years.
The outspoken persona has been in the political race to parliament for some time now.
He was hoping to contest Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi for the role as FA boss last year.
His new position in parliament could force him to relinquish his job as the Managing Director of Hearts of Oak in the coming season.
