Hearts of Oak will be competitive next season – Odotei



Acting Managing Director of Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei has disclosed they will e very competitive in the 2016/17 season.

The Phobians were slammed for failing to clinch the 2015/16 league title after mutually parting ways American-Japanese tactician Kenichi Yatshuhatsi.

The situation got worse when the management of the club appointed Sergio Traguil but he was eventually sacked to coach the U-20 team due to his uninspired results recorded.

Yaw Preko was asked to finish the season with the Accra based but the former Black Stars player quit his position at the end of the season because of personal reasons as reported by the media.

The Phobians finished the 2015/16 season on the 4th position with 48 points but Vincent Odotei believes they will very competitive in the upcoming season.

“We will be competitive in the upcoming season.” He told Asempa FM. We built the foundation last season so we will hope to archive everything next season.

“We expect to fight forward. We will entertain our supporters and we will ensure that we will become successful.

“We will make sure we will fight to win the league and we did the same last season and we nearly won the league and that is the same spirit we will build on for the upcoming season.

“We believe we have done good recruitment and we will hope that when we get the full confidence of our players, I believe we can do very well so I can promise our supporters that they should expect a good season from the club.” He added.
