Veteran midfielder, Bernard Don Bortey has disclosed he is not disappointed after he was snubbed by Hearts of Oak after failing to impress with his two months with the club.
Bortey, 33, during his time with Hearts hoped to prove his fitness with a view to earning a permanent deal with the Phobians.
The fan favourite was given a chance to impress during the GHALCA G6 competition but it appears the Hearts management were not impressed by what they saw.
The experienced midfielder came on against Aduana Stars and dispatched his penalty expertly during Hearts penalty shootout loss in the G6 finals.
But the former Ghana Premier League best player says he is not disheartened by the decision of the club not to give him a permanent deal.
“I am not disappointed, is part of the game, I had a lot to offer the Club, but for now I will try and move somewhere else.
“I will work hard because I know I can still play. Hearts is my former Club and I was ever ready to join and help them, but I’m not disappointed.
The 33-year-old will be hoping to land himself a new club before the 2016/17 season begins next year.
