Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has noted his readiness for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Ghana will be hoping to win the 2017 AFCON in Gabon after missing it our narrowly on penalties to Ivory Coast in Equatorial Guinea in 2015.
The former Liberty Professionals striker has fully recovered from a knee injury which kept him out close to 21 days. Since his return, he has featured in two games for his club side Al Ahli in the UAE League.
Gyan who will be hoping to lead Ghana to end a 34-year long wait for the Africa Cup of Nations trophy and believes strongly he feels ready for the competition.
“I am ready for the tournament, physically and mentally,” he said.
“We all know what is at stake, the last time we came so close and this time we really want to end it.
“I have the hope and believe we will win next year’s title, we just have to go out there and work hard.” He added.
