I Can Swear on my Bible… I don’t have anything against anybody – Sports Minister

Youth and Sports Minister, Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye has revealed that he can swear on his bible that he does not have anything against anybody but what he is calling for is that, the right things must be done.

The sports minister since his appointment has come under severe criticisms by some of the management members of the Ghana Football Associations for some of the decisions that he took without consulting them.

The Member of Parliament for the people of Odododiodio constituency took the decision to halt the payment of winning bonuses to management of the various national teams and have slashed the winning bonus of the Black Stars by 20 percent and cancel out all protocol fees.

It was publicly stated by the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sannie Darra that there is a huge fiction between the FA and the ministry due to the utterances of the minister. The president of the FA has also confirmed that the relationship between the FA and the ministry is now very rough but the minister is of the view that he does not have anything against anybody but he only wants the right things to be done.

“I can put my hands on my chest and swear on my bible that I don’t have anything against anybody but all I want is that the right things must be done for our football to be better because when Ghana football progresses we will gets good jobs and we will be happy.” Nii Lante told Asempa Sports.

“I have followed football and played football in this country. I have run coasts teams, I have run division three teams, division two teams and I have been part of the foundation of Liberty Professionals to make it what it is today.

“I have said on many platforms that I don’t speak as an ignorant person because I have both the practical experience and the knowledge. When I say something it is not because of my position as the sports minister but for all of us to be one so that we can uplift our passion higher.”  He added.
