Accra Hearts of Oak defender, Insuah Musah says he deserves to win the best defender of the season at this year’s Ghana Premier League Awards.
The center-back emerged the best defender at the expense of Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong as well as Dreams FC’s Abdul Bashiru.
Inusah who was only introduced in the second round of the league was able to put impressive performance winning man of the match nine times.
However, Amos was one of the reliable players for Asante Kotoko scoring eight goals. He helped his outfit to finish the 2015/16 season on the 5th position with 46 points despite their torrid season they had from the beginning of the season.
Some football fans believes the best defender of the season accolade should have gone to Amos Frimpong who played 26 matches and scored eight goals for Kotoko last season unlike Inusah who played just 13 matches for Hearts of Oak.
Inusah Musah in an interview with the media said he merit the best defender of the year Award.
“I am really happy, I worked hard for it, I think I deserve it, although my competitors also played well, I think I derseve it and the organizers saw my performance so I really happy,” he said.
