Former Black Stars player, Mohammed Polo has urged the Ghana Football Association to hand him the Black Stars coaching job.
The management committee of the Black Stars gave set up a six man committee to search for a coach to take over the Black Stars after Avram Grant failed to break the 35 years trophyless jinx.
Many Ghanaian football enthusiasts believe it is about time we forget about giving our national team to expatriates coaches.
Football fans have called on the FA to go in for former Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah and Ibrahim Tanko but the dribbling magician and the 1978 AFCON winner believes he has the requisite to manage the Black Stars.
“I have applied for this job for a very long time but anytime I apply for the job I don’t get it.
“People know what I can do when it comes to the National team. We the various national teams but they keep on to struggle.
“If I don’t get this job I will feel very bad because I have what it takes to be the Black Stars coach. If the team is given to a Ghanaian, I will give him my full support but personal I need that job.” He added.
