Former Asante Kotoko coach, Karim Zito says he will be the happiest person if the Ghana Football Association reassigned Kwesi Appiah to take charge of the Black Stars.
The FA are in search for a coach to replace Avram Grant after failing to the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Several media reports has emerged that the former Asante Kotoko has applied for the Black Stars job after the FA fired him after the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil with the inclusion of other local coaches.
Many football fans and pundits has called on the Ghana Football Association to reappoint Kwesi Appiah as the head coach of the Black Stars.
Meanwhile, the Dreams FC trainer believes he will be perfect fit for the team and he will be the happiest person if the FA reassign Kwesi Appiah.
“I will be the happiest person if Kwesi Appiah is reassigned as the Black Stars head coach.” He told Asempa FM. “I think it is time we give our local coaches more chance to lead us like the expatriates coaches.
“When we are go to by the history we have in our football, the four trophies that we have won were won by local coaches and after thirty five years we have tried to win the Africa Cup of Nations with expatriates coaches but they have failed us so why don’t we go back to our root and support that coach and I believe when we give that local coach time I believe we can win the trophy.” He added.
