Techiman City FC attacking midfielder, Baba Mahama has disclosed that he will like to play for the Porcupine Warriors in negotiations are well discussed.
Both clubs are at the advanced stage over the transfer of the talented midfielder but the interest from Aduana Stars has threatened his move to Kumasi based club.
Mahama scored four goals for the Techiman side in his debut Ghana Premier League season.
“I am ever ready to join Asante Kotoko and play for them next season. Officials are still negotiating the deal. I’m waiting for a fruitful conclusion so I can start working for the club.
“For now it’s because negotiations haven’t concluded that’s why I haven’t joined the team yet.
“Every player making a move to a new club is aware he will face competition.”
Kotoko will be looking forward to boost up their squad for the 2016/17 season after missing out on the top four position.
