Editor of Kotoko express, Jerome Otchere has urged supporters not to celebrate about the impressive performance displayed by the team.
The Warriors has begun their campaign on a brighter not winning three matches, drawing one out of the four matches played.
Kotoko defeated Ashgold in their outstanding league match at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium after seven years of failing to beat the Miners.
The former league champions are now at the second position with 10 points but Jerome believes it is too early to celebrate.
“It has been a very time we defeated Ashgold at their home grounds.” He told Asempa FM. “The team is now having a lot of mental strength and that is what I have seen which I don’t know whether it is coming from the side of the management or the coach or the players believes in their quality to the extent that nothing can push them down.
“When the match get tougher I am sometimes surprised how the play and you will have the confidence that before the match ends the team will win the match.
“When we played against Berekum Chelsea, many thought it was over but they fought hard to get a point and against Bechem United, they did the same thing.
“Ashgold very well against us but when we scored the goal they couldn’t play anymore but I believe it is too early to celebrate about the performance of the team.
“I have told the supporters not to celebrate because there are a lot of things that are in the pipeline which I believe it will be more impressive than what the players are doing now and the coach keeps on improving match after match.” He added.
The Warriors will now welcome newly promoted side Elmina Sharks to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the match day five fixture.
