Head coach of Inter Allies, Jimmy Corbblah has slammed referee William Agbovi for his poor and reckless officiating style against Ebusua Dwarfs.

Inter Allies drew at the Tema Sports Stadium in the week 25 fixtures against the Cape Coast based club. Nicholas Gyan put Dwarfs ahead in the 2nd minute but Gockel Ahotor swiftly equalised for Inter Allies four minutes later. J.E. Amoah restored Dwarfs’ lead in the 70th minute and the home side snatched a point late in the game.

The based club have endured a torrid season in the second round of the Ghana Premier League. After ten matches played, Inter Allies have won three, lost four and draw three with only five matches left for the season to end.

“We needed a win to keep on fighting in other to escape relegation but with the draw, I am hugely disappointed.” Jimmy Corbblah told Asempa Sports in an interview.

“I am disappointed because apart from my players missing their chances, these referees are having a big problem. All the matches that we have played away, we lost them through conceding penalties and against Bechem United it was very worse.

“We were on top of the game in the first half but the referee gave Dwarfs two penalties within six minutes and to me these officials are not helping us because they keep on using their discursions to officiate matches and I think it is not good.

“If you look at today, we could have won this match if these referee was not on the field because Dwarfs were tired and we had a goal and I keep on asking myself what was the assistant referee doing and I was surprised at Agbovi as well.

“He was in the eighteen yard box and they picked up a ball and threw it into the net and our player went for the ball from the net and the assistant referee called Agbovi and informed you and you said a ball boy threw the ball into the net. It is unbelievable, I have not seen this anywhere before and I have never heard this before but I don’t want to talk about them.” Jimmy added.

The draw against Dwarfs has pushed Inter Allies into the relegation with 27 points at the 15th position and now play Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in the match day 26 fixtures.
