Former Black Stars striker, Augustine Arhinful believes the management team of the Black Stars can only decide the comeback of Price Boateng back to the team.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) approved Kwesi Appiah who was the coach of the Black Stars decision to suspend both Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng indefinitely from the Black Stars.
According to GFA, Boateng’s indefinite suspension was due to vulgar verbal insults he threw at Kwesi Appiah during the team’s training session during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The German born Ghanaian international now plays for Las Palmas in the Spanish La Liga in an interview CCTV said he is ready to play for the Black Stars if the country decides to give him call up.
After eight matches played, Kelvin have been able to score four goals but Augustine believes the management of the Black Stars can only decides on bringing him back to the national team.
“We have to understand what Kelvin is saying.” Arhinful told Asempa Sports.
“He is saying what happened in Brazil was set up to get him out of the team. Again, he said he will not turn it down when the country decides to call him and it is a good decision.
“After the world cup in Brazil, we haven’t been able to hear from hear from him and for me we shouldn’t condemn him. The management team has not been able to defend the team after whatever ever happened in Brazil.
“What we heard was the players went out there to demand their money but the same players are still playing for the national team so let us all look at this issue holistically because there is a reason to what happened in Brazil.
“I believe the hierarchy of the team should have been invited to speak to the commissioners and as I have said no member of the management team have been able to defend the players after the world cup. It is up to the management of the Black Stars to decide to bring him back to the team.”
