Veteran Sports Writer and President of Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), Kwabena Yeboah has tipped Accra Hearts of Oak to triumph over their arch rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their week 21 fixtures of the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobian club recorded a sweet victory over Bechem Chelsea with Kwame Kizito getting the only goal for Hearts of Oak whiles their bitter rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko were humiliated by 4:1 by Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in their week 20 fixtures.
Kotoko now host Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday. Assistant coach of Kotoko, Godwin Ablodey has vowed to recover from the humiliation they suffered at Cape Coast by defeating Hearts of Oak but Portuguese manager for Phobian club, is very optimistic securing all the three maximum points after losing the President Cup to the Warriors at Accra.
“Kotoko and Hearts games, to a very large extent, are interesting. Hearts’ win against Chelsea will give them maximum confidence. Kotoko would have lost some bit of confidence because they drew with Bechem United and lost to Ebusua Dwarfs.” Kwabena Yeboah told Class FM in an interview.
“I don’t remember the last time Kotoko lost massively to Ebusua Dwarfs, and again it gives Hearts some confidence, but on the day, because Kotoko will have no option than to put smiles back on the faces of their supporters, they will have to go the extra mile and see what happens.
“You know Kotoko and Hearts games are an entirely different ball game so, sometimes, the results have very little bearing; it’s a game on its own.” He added.
