Kwesi Appiah understands why he is not paid- Elvis Adjei Baah

The PRO of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS), Mr. Elvis Adjei Baah; has stated that, the delay in payments of salaries of the Black Stars Coach; Akwesi Appiah and the Technical team has been a case; due to an ongoing negotiation between the MOYS and The Ghana Petroleum Company (GNPC), which they are all aware.

Elvis Adjei Baah said, when it comes to matters of payments of monies to the Black Stars, it is the responsibility of Ghana Petroleum Company (GNPC); because of the sponsorship agreement between them and the Senior National team, The Black Stars.

According to the PRO, the Ministry have already written to GNPC concerning the unpaid salaries of the Black Stars head coachJames Akwesi Appiah and his Technical team which GNPC have also agreed to hold an immediate meeting to that effect.

James Akwesi Appiah was re-appointed as the Head coach of the Black Stars in April 2017, replacing former Chelsea manager Avam Grant.
