Moussa Sissoko has revealed Hugo Lloris played a key role in convincing him to join Tottenham.
The France international secured his £30m Deadline Day switch to White Hart Lane just minutes before the window slammed shut.
Everton were the frontrunners to sign the former Newcastle midfielder until Spurs’ late intervention, and the 27-year-old has revealed Lloris was one of the deciding factors for turning down the move to Goodison Park.
“I spoke with Hugo Lloris,” Sissoko told the club’s official website. “He told me this club is amazing and everything is here for me to do well, play some good games and fight with the best teams in England.
“They did well last season, they have a great manager and a good team. It’s simple.”
