Assistant coach of the Black Stars, Maxwell Konadu has backed Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s decision to appoint a technical director to support interim manager Michael Osei.
The Porcupine Warriors are planning to appoint a technical director to help Michael Osei who has being under pressure for the recent poor performance of his team.
Michael Osei has failed to guide the Club to record a win in the last five outings prompting management to appoint a technical director to offer support to the former New Edubiase assistant Coach.
Speaking to Accra based Starr FM, Maxwell said, “I think is a good idea. That will help the team and help Michael Osei himself,”
“Looking at the performance of the team in the second round, things haven’t gone too well so I think appointing a technical director will help.
“I also think Michael Osei shouldn’t take the blame alone but at this moment if things are happening this way then your name will be mentioned because he is the one leading the team.
“But I think appointing a technical director will really help him and the Club as well.”
Kotoko now play Dreams FC at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Sunday August 7.
Maxwell Konadu who led Kotoko to win the 2012/13 League season is in support of the decision taken by management of the Club.
Ghana U23 Coach Malik Jabir has been tipped to take-up the role as the new technical director for the Club.
