Youth and Sports Minister, Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuyje has decline reports claiming a fracture with Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi.
There have been reports of a supposed conflict between the Youth and Sports Minister and the President of the Ghana Football Association.
This comes after the Ministry was alleged to have leaked documents revealing a scandalous incident in Ghana’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Egypt.
Further reports indicate the Ministry has turned down several proposals from the Ghana Football Association since the appointment of Nii Lantey Vanderpuyje as the sports minister. But the former GBC Sports Broadcaster insists he has no problem with the CAF Executive Committee member.
“There has been a picture circulating on social media for some time now. I will like to state that I have no problem with the FA President.” He told Songo on Fire for Fire on Adom TV.
“The truth of the matter is that. There was someone sitting between Nyantakyi and me during the Ghana-Senegal game.
“The Chief of Ednaman was sitting between us and 10 minutes from time he decided to visit the washroom.
“People had seen us sitting for the past 80 minutes of the game and never took a picture until the Ednaman got up where they decided to take a picture.
“I don’t know the motive behind that. But if you ask Nyantakyi he will tell you there is no problem between us. We talk all the time.” Nii Lante added.
The Minister recently revealed he refused to grant a request by the FA during Ghana’s Africa Youth Championship qualifier against Senegal.
