Otongo-Castane to handle Egypt-Ghana World Cup qualifying cracker



Gabonese referee Eric Otongo-Castane has been will be the center man in charge when Egypt host Ghana in the crucial 2018 World Cup qualifier next month.

The 40-year-old has been appointed by CAF to officiate the cracker which has been scheduled to take place in Alexandria on November 13.

Otongo-Castane recently officiated the third place match of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations where Ghana slumped to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Mali.

The Black Stars will thus be wishing for better luck this time around with the Gabonese referee.

Egypt hold the initial advantage in the World Cup qualifying group as they beat Congo away with Ghana being held to a 1-1 draw by Uganda in the opening round.
