Head coach of Dreams FC, C. K. Akunnor has averred that their demotion to the division one league is very unfortunate.
Dreams FC have been demoted from the Ghana Premier League to the GN Division One league after the decision by the Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
The Committee’s decision was taken after the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s (CAS) instructed the GFA to review the decision of the Appeals Committee in the matter of Tema Youth vs Dreams FC dated 5th November, 2015.
But the former Black Stars captain believes it is unfortunate for them to play in the GN Division One League next season.
“I called the players and asked them to show up at training grounds.” He told Asempa FM. “Our demotion is something very unfortunate but we have to accept it.
“We have accepted the decision by the FA and we don’t have anything to do than to accept it. The management has spoken to the players and as a coach i have to be loyal and I believe it was good for the management to speak to the players.”
