Communications Director for Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo is of the view their winless run does not mean they will not end the season well.
The Phobians have failed to record a single win in their first three matches they have played. Hearts drew with Inter Allies at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in their opening match. Against Medeama SC at the Accra Sports Stadium, they Phobians recorded another draw and in their match day three fixture against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, the team drew one all draw with the Cape Coast giant.
This situation has pushed the club to the 9th position with just three points after three matches played but Opare believes recording this unimpressive run does not mean they will not finish the season well.
“Everyone who was at the the stadium will tell you it was an entertaining match.” He told Asempa FM.
“Draw is part of football and Dwarfs also planned to win the match but the players did very well because they didn’t disappoint us despite the draw.
“I know the supporters will not be happy since we have not win any match but it doesn’t mean we will not end well. Aduana Stars didn’t start well last season but they finished at the second position so our winless run does not mean we will not end the season well but we will identify our problems and make sure we will build up on that.
“We are not happy with the situation but we are not so much disappointed because losing the three games would have been different.
“We will wait for the coach to see how the players will train today because we will not allow Wa All Stars to beat us again at our home grounds.
“Against Wa All Stars, I feel the team needs everybody because this is the time we need the spirit back. The players are happy with the coach and I know he will build formidable team for the club. I have spoken to the chairman of the NCC and he has promised that he will mobilize the supporters to come on Sunday.” He added.
Hearts of Oak will now play Wa All Stars in the match day four fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
