Head coach of Aduana Stars, Cioaba Aristica has disclosed that their crunch encounter against Wa All Stars at the Malik Jabir Stadium on Wednesday is very crucial but cannot be described as the decider for the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League.
The battle for supremacy can’t get any better as the 2015/16 premier league season goes down the wire with Aduana Stars and Wa All Stars as key contenders.
The Dormaa based club won convincingly with a five star performance against Techiman City making them leapfrog Wa All Stars whose fairytale title ambitions were put on hold by a Latif Blessing’s winner at the Dansoman Carl Reindolf Park.
Both clubs would lock horns on Wednesday for the penultimate game of the season, which Aduana’s Romanian trainer believes it would not determine the league winner, since there will still be another match to end the season.
“I will take the games one after the other, we are now done with Techiman City, and my concentration is on Wa All Stars. We will give our all to win this game, but we know it will be very difficult.
“The league will not be over after the All Stars game, we will still have one more with Inter Allies. I am very sure the better side will win.” Aristica said.
The league leaders believe there is no room for complacency after toppling All Stars at the top.
“We had last three matches which are all tough, because we lost to all these clubs in the first round. I am happy we have won against Techiman City, we still have two more games to go. We know what we are going in for, so there is no time to rest.
He congratulated his players for taking up the challenge and living up to expectation and the supporters for being behind the team all the time.
Wa All Stars seek to win their first major trophy in the Ghanaian top flight football whiles Aduana quest for their second after a historic feat in their debut season.
