Former Black Stars striker, Augustine Arhinful has warned the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to settle the verbal war going on between them or else Ghana will miss out on the 2018 world cup.
Both the FA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports have been accusing themselves in public for some months now.
The minister has cited his intensions clear to the FA but the FA seems not to be in agreement with the youth and sports minister because they also have their plans for the team.
Arhinful in an interview with Asempa FM averred that we risk missing out on a fourth successive world cup if the impasse between the Ministry and the FA doesn’t cease.
“We may not qualify if this impasse doesn’t end. The media war between the Association and Ministry must cease if we want to qualify. We have to look at the common interest rather than fighting”.
Quizzed on how to end the impasse, he said, “I think to end this war, the media should desist from interviewing both parties as a way of solving the problem.”
