The Porcupine Warrior stand in Coach has predicted a very horrible scene to one day in the ongoing Ghana Premier League if preventive measures are not seriously taken by the Ghana Football Association to end the unacceptable officiating by some referees.
Kotoko beat Dreams FC 1-0 Sunday afternoon courtesy a last-minute spot kick by captain Amos Frimpong.
Michael Osei’s comment comes after a journalist asked him at post match conference his personal assessment on the performance of center referee Nathan Anafo who officiated the Ghana Premier League week 23 fixture between Asante Kotoko and Dreams FC.
Referee Anafo awarded Kotoko what some journalists and spectators who watched the crucial game as a “dubious penalty” which eventually earned the host an important three points hence the journo’s question.
But the coach who declined to comment on the referee’s officiating said “Honestly I don’t want to comment on officiating today, personally I am one person who hardly comments about the performance of referees in during our matches”.
But when then journalist later said “But seriously if something is not than about it ,it won’t help our league Michael Osei jovially responded ”someone will die one day”.
Kotoko prior to Sunday’s game had picked just two points out of a possible 9 points.
