Hearts of Oak midfielder, Malik Akwouah has urged the club supporters to supports interim coach Henry Wellington.
The Phobians are yet to appoint a permanent coach ahead of the 2016/17 campaign. After the exit Kenichi Yatshuhatsi from the club, the management of the have been having problems finding a permanent coach for the club.
Wellington was appointed as an interim coach ahead of the GHALCA G6 tournament but failed to lead the club to win the trophy.
Many coaches have been linked with the club but the former Medeama SC midfielder has urged the supporters to stick to him and support him.
“With the coach that we have now, he has been a head coach at Hearts of Lions so if he is here, it doesn’t mean we doesn’t have a coach so we should stop complaining.” He told Asempa FM.
“He is our head coach now so let support him and pray for him as well as the players so we can win the league. Let forget about the differences because with him or without him the points still remain three if you win a match.
“We the players are happy with him because we started the preseason with him and we are adapting to what he is teaching us so if you bring a new coach you retrogress the club and it will be a big problem so we have to support the coach and adapt to whatever he teaches us because we the players are happy with him.” He added.
The Phobains will play Inter Allies on Monday at the Tema Sports Stadium.
