Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sannie Darra has revealed the entire Black Stars backroom staffs are yet to be paid.
Ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, the Ministry of Youth and Sports made huge changes in the bonus structure in the entire team.
A member of the technical team, Gerald Nus is really not happy about the situation at hand. Expatriates trainers that former Black Stars head coach, Avram Grant brought into the team ahead of the tournament have all left.
But the Rayo Vallecano assistant technical director in an interview with Joy Sports disclosed that he has been told by several Ghanaians not to leave because he is not going to receive his money if he agrees to leave the country.
However the former BBC worker says it is not only Nus who has not been paid but the entire Black Stars backroom staff.
“We are aware that Gerald Nus is still in the country and we have told the Ministry of youth and sports about the situation at hand and they ready to help us resolve the issue.” He told Asempa FM.
“With all the technical team Avram Grant brought into the team they have all left the country. He is the only person left in the country.
“He is demanding for his money but the truth is the entire backroom staffs of the Black Stars are yet to be paid and so we will tell him to relax and we will give him his money because even Avram Grant who brought him to the country is already gone.” He added.
