The Ghana premier league has been faced with massive player exodus season after season as a result of poor salary structure and many other factors which hinder the progress of the league and former Asante Kotoko Defender Akwasi Bobbie Ansah who currently plies his football trade in Nigeria with Sun Shine Stars has a testimony to that effect.
He said players in the Nigeria Premier League have a well salary payment structure unlike Ghanaian clubs who have adopted a shambolic payment strategy.
”The Government carter for the teams just like Government workers ,so whenever they are paid you also get paid”.
He further revealed that he doesn’t earn less than Four thousand- two hundred as monthly salary, an amount he believes no Ghanaian player can receive as his two months salary.

” I don’t know how much every player receives but for me I earn not less than GHC4,200 monthly, that’s after my house rent and agent fee”.
Bobbie stated that even players travel allowances is better than what players receive in Ghana as monthly salary.
”Over here even the travelling allowances is just like a Ghanaian player’s salary because of the large size of the country”.

He further stressed that he will on any day choose to play in Nigeria rather than playing in Ghana because of the poor conditions marred with the Ghana premier League.
Bobbie ruled out the possibility of returning to the Ghana Premier League saying he is tired of football in Ghana.
”I’m tired of football in Ghana because I never gained anything but for the five months I have been here, I have earned a lot of money that I never had for the years I played in Ghana.
