Chief Executive Officer of Bechem United, Nana Kwesi Darling has disclosed they are determined to play in the CAF Confederations Cup.
The MTN FA Cup winners have been paired against Algerian power house Club MC Alger in the CAF Confederations Cup preliminary stage.
Bechem United will be making their first appearance to the Africa competition but despite the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League has failed to kick off, the Chief Executive Officer of the club believes they are determined to play in the CAF Confederations cup.
“We were praying that we will play the away match first so we can have the home advantage but it didn’t work as we expected but we are still determined to play the matches.” Nana told Asempa FM when quizzed on the draw.
“Clun MC Alger are currently leading the table in Algeria but we will get tapes about them for the technical team and the coach to study their style of play but it will not be easy but we are well determined.
“We are not scared playing against them but we will vigilant about them because we know how these North African countries behaves.
“We will take a trip to Turkey to prepare ourselves for the tournament because we don’t want to point fingers on anybody if we fail to progress.”
