Head coach of the Black Queens, Yusif Basigi has revealed the government of Ghana owes them $25,000.
The Black Queens recently won bronze in the Women’s Nations Cup in Cameroon after defeating South Africa by a lone goal to nothing.
Basigi led the team to win Gold at the 2015 All Africa Games in Congo but despite the impressive performance demonstrated by the senior female national team the government still owes a whopping amount of $25,000 according to the head coach.
“We are owed $25,000 by the government of Ghana.” Basigi told Starr FM. “We were given $ 5,000 across board after winning bronze in Cameroon.
“The sort of motivation given the female teams is nothing to talk about but i will blame women advocacy groups. Women in power should be up and doing when it comes to helping the Black Queens.
“We have been promised by government that after the elections we will have monies but we want attention from the new president elect. We should be treated fairly in all aspects.” He added.
