Acting General Manager of Asante Kotoko, Samuel Opoku Nti has disclosed the management of the club are yet to take a decision on the behavior of suspended Samuel Kyere.
Ashgold came from behind to win all three points after Kotoko took an early lead in the game with two goals. Many have called on the FA to investigate that fixture because it was reported that Kotoko played a match of convenience.
Samuel Kyere was not part of the team that lost to Ashgold in the match day 29 fixture at Obuasi due to disciplinary reasons.
Samuel Kyere in many interviews has sighted it clearly that he can sense something fishy during the match because it is difficult to come from behind to win against Kotoko with that goal margin but the acting general manager of Kotoko says they are yet to take a decision on the behavior of the player.
Speaking Nhyira FM in an interview, Opoku Nti said, “We will not accept the behavior of Samuel Kyere. We had a meeting with him yesterday and he told us he wants his contract to be terminated but we are yet to take a decision on behavior but with his contract issues, we told him to give us time.
The performance of Kotoko has been very abysmal this season. Quizzed if the club can deliver next season, he said, “We couldn’t achieve our aims and after five matches played we were at the 16th position which was unpredictable but I am very optimistic Kotoko will bounce back next season. “
Kotoko will play arch rivals Hearts of Oak in a peace match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday September 21.
