A member of the strategic committee of Accra Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Akambi has admitted that the club missed out it targets last season but they will do anything possible to archive their target next season.
The Phobians came close of clinching the league title but started some huge points during home matches.
The appointment of Sergio Traguil brought the supporters some believe but things kept on going worse after the club parted ways mutually with Japanese American tactician, Kenichi Yatshuhatsi.
Hearts of Oak finished the season on the 3rd position with 48 points winning 12, drawing 12 and losing 6 matches after 30 played but Alhaji believes they will do anything to archive their ambitions next season despite missing out their target last season.
Speaking to Asempa Sports, Alhaji said, “I don’t want to talk about overall performance in the just ended season because we had the chance of winning the league but we started dropping some vital points at home but we are doing anything possible to correct those mistakes moving forward.
“ With the players that we brought into the team, with no doubt they were doing very well in their teams despite playing in the division one league and every team will love to have them in their teams and during our preseason they proved themselves.”
Quizzed if they have any ambitions going into the 2016/17 season, he said, “With no doubt, any team will have targets and we will prepare towards that and we will test it during the GHALCA G-6 competition before the start of the season.”
