We were not given $2 million dollars- Worlanyo Agrah

Former Chief Executive Officer of National Sports Authority (NSA); Mr. Worlanyo Agrah has stated that, the NSA during his reign were not given $2 million to build multi-purpose courts but rather, the actual amount was in cedis which was deposited in the Ministry’s account.

In an interview with sportsniteleaks.com, Mr. Worlanyo stressed on the fact that, the said amount was in the possession of the ministry during Akua Sena Dansowaa’s reign and it was being monitored by the the ministry. “they gave a check to us which was not in dollars but cedis. The NSA did everything through the ministry. I didn’t even know the figure; the account people will know.”  He said.

The NSA were supposed to build nineteen (19) Multi-purpose Courts which according to Agrah, some were put up during his tenure of office. “we did the first court at the Accra Sports Stadium, another one at Legon, there is one at the West African Secondary School and two in the Volta Region”. He added.
