Head coach of the Ghana Black Starlets, Paa Kwesi Fabian has revealed that despite recording a 5:1 victory against Burkina Faso in their African U-17 Championship qualifying series, he will make sure that he will improve the team before the second league at Ouagadougou.
The Black Starlets came from a goal down before Emmanuel Opoku’s equalizer and Captain Eric Ayiah’s brace at the newly built Cape Coast Stadium.
Isaac Antah made it 4-1 for Ghana before Nathaniel Opoku scored few minutes to the end of the game to give Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin’s side a comfortable win ahead of the second leg to be played in Ouagadougou in a fortnight.
“I am not very happy because we could have scored almost 10 or 11 goals.” Paa Kwesi Fabian told Asempa Sports.
“We missed a lot of chances so we will sure that we work on that as we are going back to camp to prepare for the second league.
“The score line is good for Ghana football because before the match, I heard a lot of comments which was not pleasing but if we are able to win 5:1 I think it is good for Ghana football but I will improve the team before we go back to Burkina Faso for the return league.” Fabian concluded.
Winner of this tie will advance to the next stage of the qualifiers to face either Benin or Ivory Coast.
