Egyptian Filgoal TV Journalist Amir Abd Elhalim has disclosed they will take advantage of the current rift between the Ghanaian Sports ministry and the Ghana Football Association to qualify for Russia 2018.
Ghana have been drawn in Group E with Congo, Uganda and Egypt in the race to Russia.
The Black Stars face a tough competition from their Egyptian opponent as the two are favorites to fight for the sole ticket to the Mundial.
The Egyptian sports journalist believes the Maghrebian nation can qualify ahead of the West African country.
Speaking to Takoradi based Spice FM, Amir said, “Egypt has a very good team with Mohammed Salah and others playing aboard.
“The technical team have started scouting on the Ghanaian team and the current matches they have played.”
“We (Egypt) believe that beating Uganda and Congo in back to back games and a win over Ghana at Cairo can qualify us for the world cup 2018.”
“The current problems between the FA and Sports ministry can also play to our (Egypt) advantage.”
The third round qualifiers run between October this year and November 2017.
