Youth and Sports Minister nominee, Hon. Isaac Asiamah has averred they will use sports as a tool for job creation for the youth if he is approved by parliament.
The Member of Parliament for the people of Atwima Mponua constituency was nominated on Thursday by His Excellency President Nana Akuffo Addo as part of his announcement of his third batch of ministerial nominees and promised to execute all the projects outlined in the sports manifesto.
The New Patriotic Party will be hoping to improve upon how the sports was run by the outgone minister Nii Lante Vanderpuye but the member of parliamentary select committee on sports says they will use sports to creates more jobs.
“We are going to position sports so it can be used as a tool for job creation.”
“The manifesto is a social contract that we have signed with Ghanaians and everything we wish to do is outlined in the manifesto.
“We are going to make sure that the manifesto works, so that we work accordingly with whatever is in the manifesto.”
The New Patriotic Party however promised to construct three new stadia and three sports colleges as stated in their manifesto.
