Deputy coach of the Local Black Stars; Maxwell Konadu says he will not resign from his post as an assistant to Kwesi Appiah following the team’s 2-1 defeat to Burkina Faso at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Sunday.
Maxwell in an interview admitted he has failed the supporters but reassured Ghanaians, he will still be at the helm of affairs despite failing to qualify the team twice in a row.
“we know we have disappointed a lot of people but if I come out to say am resigning, what signal am I sending out? I cannot say am quitting.” He said.
The former Asante Kotoko coach believes that, the downfall of a man does not justify his end; so, he will still be at post and work harder for the team [Black Stars ‘B’] to get the required results.
“am not a quitter, I can also fight back against any opposition at any time; we will work until we achieve our aim.” He added.
Burkina Faso eliminated the Black stars ‘B’ from the African Nations Championship (CHAN) on a 4-3 aggregated scoreline.
